The Centennial State

A Colorado local I was working with summed up the sentiment that holds true from the weekend visitor to the life-long Coloradan. I asked him 'do you ever get used to seeing the mountains?' He said 'No. The mountains never cease to amaze me.' Indeed for most of the mountain west, the Rocky Mountains are a haven for wildlife, hikers, fishermen, skiers, snowboarders, and more. While visiting Colorado you will almost certainly travel on I-25 and I-70 and pass through Denver and/or Colorado Springs. Those cities are great to dine in true Colorado style and sight-see but the true reason why you visit this state lies in the mountains. I've been fortunate to have opportunities to take a break from the interstates and travel on local roads and into the mountains that have allowed me to discover sights that never cease to amaze.
